Terms and Conditions of Studio Hire – Space Eight

1. General Information

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Space Eight for studio hire. By booking the studio, you agree to abide by these terms.
1.2 Space Eight is exclusively intended for photographic and videographic activities unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 A booking is only confirmed once the full payment has been received.
2.2 Payment is accepted exclusively via bank transfer upon receipt of an invoice.
2.3 Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the booking date are eligible for a 100% refund in the form of studio credit, which can be used for future bookings or services.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the booking date are eligible for a 50% refund in the form of studio credit.

3. Studio Use

3.1 The studio may only be used by the individual or entity that made the booking. Subletting or sharing the space without written consent is prohibited.
3.2 The maximum occupancy of the studio is 8 people.
3.3 Clients are responsible for ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations and do not disturb neighboring tenants.
3.4 Alcohol consumption is not permitted on the premises, and the use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited.

4. Responsibilities and Liability

4.1 Space Eight is not responsible for:

Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings of the client or their guests.
Injuries, accidents, or damages occurring within the studio during the hire period.

4.2 Clients are required to have appropriate liability insurance to cover any damages, injuries, or accidents that occur during their use of the studio.
4.3 The client is responsible for the safe use of all equipment brought into the studio. All equipment must meet safety standards, and any damages caused by such equipment are the client's responsibility.
4.4 The studio equipment must not be removed or modified without prior written consent.

5. Damages and Cleaning

5.1 Clients must protect the studio floor when using paint, corrosive liquids, or other potentially damaging substances. Any cleaning or repair costs resulting from such use will be charged to the client.
5.2 The studio must be returned to its original state at the end of the hire period. Clients must remove all materials, set pieces, and waste; otherwise additional cleaning fees will be applied.

6. Health and Safety

6.1 Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the studio.
6.2 Fire exits must remain clear at all times. The use of open flames, smoke machines, or pyrotechnics requires prior approval.
6.3 Animals are only permitted in the studio with prior notice and approval.
6.4 Minors (under 18) must be supervised by an adult at all times.

7. Noise and Disturbance

7.1 Noise levels must be controlled to avoid disturbing other tenants or neighboring properties.

8. Amendments and Updates

8.1 Space Eight reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

9.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom.
9.2 In the event of a dispute, parties agree to seek resolution through mediation before pursuing legal action.
